Guest guest
Welcome to the Group, . Your post came through. When you feel comfortable, feel free to share your experiences and opinions. We can all learn from each other's shared insights, whether your parent(s) is/are mildly affected by personality disorder or severely affected. Learning that my nada's* behaviors have a particular pattern that is a recognized mental disorder was very validating for me. Realizing that I am not the cause of her chronic unhappiness and her acting out, projecting, blaming behaviors really lifted a burden from my mind. That, and realizing that I am not capable of changing her or curing her or making her happy were the first steps toward healing myself. So, you've found a bunch of people who " get it. " *(we often use the word " nada " here, which is short for " not-a-mom " or " mom with bpd " ) -Annie > > Hi--I just found this group after reading..stop walking on eggshells. I have found the posts helpful. My issues seems milder than some that I have read..hope my post prints. I have never really been able to actually communicate on this type of forum. So this post is also kind of a test. Thanks >

Guest guest
Hi --I think I just changed my email address for posting to this account to one that is a made up name. I feel more comfortable with that. I am feeling a lot of guilt right now. The advice was good about getting a therapist. I suppose its good to know when and if to use a therapist. Thanks
