Guest guest Posted January 22, 2010 Report Share Posted January 22, 2010 Hi Eve, You may want to take a look at the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) eating plan. You may get some tips on better management of your HBP without the drugs. I have HBP also (and take meds that I hate!) but weight loss didn't seem to help it, as my numbers were just as high as before I lost the weight. Of course, I'm not saying that will happen with you. One of my issues is I love salt and probably ate as much (if not more) salt after I lost weight. (I have, however, been trying to leave that shaker alone, but it sure is hard!) Good luck!
