Guest guest
I was able to get Medical to pay 100% for the cost of Valtrex. Get a letter drafted from your DAN/Pediatrician stating that it's absolutely necessary for this medication because your child is allergic to the blue dyes that the generics are injected with. Then have the pharmacy submit a TAR form to Medical along with the signed letter from your DAN, and they should cover it 100%. So, if you have Medical, I'd advise going that route. Best of Luck! > > > > > Hi all, > > > We've been on Valtrex/diflucan or Nizoral for the past 9 months. 2 days ago > >our new insurance began refusing to cover Valtrex. Guest guest
LDN can be taken while on antivirals. It's not an antiviral, it's an immune modulator. It balances the TH1 and TH2 cytokines. You'll likely still have to hound your son if you can continue with antivirals. My did great on LDN.One of the things that I did - I didn't put it in juice. That's probably the worst thing you can do because it takes *forever* to get down them. I mixed it in a spoonful of ice cream so he could take it in a bite or two. Much better than begging them to drink their juice, imo. It also had the added benefit of making him stop asking me for ice cream all the time. Once he started swallowing pills, he got over that, unfortunately. You could also try nut butters or something like that. Something with some kind of consistancy that it can stick to and be done with in a bite or two. Cheryl ~http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com~~@Gryffins_Tail~ , LDN is next on our list of things to try. But since we just started with AC chelation we want to give it a fair trial before we add to many new things at once. I want to make sure I know what is working or not. His DAN has very good experiences with LDN and also thinks we should try it once we establish if he is a responder to chelation. I love the idea of a cream as opposed to wiping of the pills and crushing them then hounding my son for a half an hour to drink his juice > > > > Subject: Insurance won't cover Valtrex, natural antivirals? > To: mb12 valtrex > Date: Thursday, February 3, 2011, 11:29 AM > > > Â > > > > Hi all, > We've been on Valtrex/diflucan or Nizoral for the past 9 months. 2 days ago our new insurance began refusing to cover Valtrex.
