Hi group! I've been receiving the daily digests for a little while and read

them periodically. I read them today and am really excited about all the great

suggestions for CDs and books on mindfulness and meditation.

I too have struggled with ______. (fill in the blank related to eating and

dieting and weight) my whole life. I think it was around the first of the year

this year that I became interested in IE but not really committed yet. Then I

read, or started to read WFG. Then my sister and I went on an Integrative

Weight Loss retreat at Kripalu at the end of Sept. We've been to Kripalu many

times for yoga classes/retreats. I got what I needed. A real focus on

mindfulness and the chance to slow down enough and begin making better choices.

I too have struggled with the over-exercising and becoming too thin as a result

and so today, I really have to talk myself into getting regular exercise. I

appreciate the post about how it helps with stress. I absolutely know that and

yet don't follow through. I am working on that.

I've been part of a mindfulness meditation group for over 5 years now, starting

with an 8 week (Jon Kabat-Zinn based) class and now we meet on Wed evenings to

do a 45 minute meditation and then discussion. We've decided to devote the 1st

Wed of the month to a WFG meditation and discussion. I'm going to look into

some of those CDs you have suggested and include those in our meditations.
