Used Concentrator info

Just thought I'd add my two cents. There is a company in western, VA called Oxygen Plus Medical Systems. Among other things they service and recondition used concentrators. I have used them for two second hand concentrators that I obtained from someone whose husband had passed away. They charge $350, rebuild the compressor, replace pretty much everything else, clean it inside and out, test it and then warranty it for 5 years.

Most people would have to also pay to ship but it might be worth it depending on the price you paid for the used concentrator or I'm sure there are other companies out there doing the same thing. It would just take some searching.

Here's their info:

I am on 4 liters at rest, but Ifind 3 is OK too, but I'm on 6-8 on exertion. When I'mexercising, I also have to use a rebreather mask which I hate to keepthe o2 levels up.> I am going to take Bruce's advice and"diplomatically" inquire of the o2 supplier about the cost ofthe cart rental. I guess what really got me to thinking about this, is that I got a bill for over $200 which covered severalmonths. It's much easier to pay a smaller amount each month thanbe hit with a whopper of a bill.> I have my 3-month check up coming in a week and Iguess I'm nervous about that. I've heard a couple of you mention Dr.. on and a dr. friendalso suggested a Dr. Govert. I will see who Dr. Steele recommends andgo from there.> Thanks for your suggestions.> Sue D, 62 yr old, Fibrotic NSIP dx 9/07, VA>>>>>>>>>> ____________ _________ _________ __>>> No virus found in this incoming message.> Checked by AVG.> Version: 8.0.100 / Virus Database: 270.0.0/1489 - Release Date:6/7/2008 11:17 AM> __._,_..___> Messages in this topic (18) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic> Messages | Database | Polls | Members | Calendar> MARKETPLACE>> ____________ _________ _________
