I told them there is no number for me, since I have no vision whatsoever and so I went round and round with them about this, and even my doctor said how can I give a number if there is nothing there? so now we sit and wait if the insurance approves.. this is crazy. has anyone ever gone through something similiar?, for those of you who are totally blind? just shareing thanks oh and I was told that the code strips and the voice strips do work, but from what Ruth says they dont. so now another round of do they or don't they;however I do believe Ruth, as she is more knowledgable then these folks at AM med direct, so it seems;but we will wait and see. thanks for hearing me out sugar 'Real tears are not those that fall from your eyes and cover your face, but that fall from your heart and cover your soul.' ~Be Blessed, Sugar

Guest guest
well, they accepted " no vision " and after all that trouble, they sent me the wrong machine, then they had no notes that they even sent me a machine, and once I recieved it, I was then called back and told that medi care and medical did not approve a new updated machine yet. according to medicare and medi-cal, they only approve for a new machine every 5 years. so I am stuck with this prodigy auto code and my prodigy voice. oh well, at least I got me a new machine sugar 'Real tears are not those that fall from your eyes and cover your face, but that fall from your heart and cover your soul.' ~Be Blessed, Sugar just shareing Hi all, ok, so I just started with this A M Med Direct, and they send me the wrong machine;I use the prodigy voice, and I was sent the prodigy code... ok, so they are going to change it for me, that's great! now my question is, they were needing a " visual aqute number " in order for my insurance to cover this new and upgrade Prodigy Voice... Guest guest
I just got with CCS Medical and they say all is going to be OK. I bought a supply of 50 test strips and 100 lancets from 's Pharmacy locally. They were able to get them in the next day and they even delivered them to me free of charge. They are pretty good. But they cannot work with Total Health CAreso meanwhile I was talking to Customer Service at Prodigy and they connected me with CCS. I am supposed to get a little card from them that needs a signature to release them to bill my insurance. Then they said they would wait a certain amount of days since I still had 49 test strips when they called me. Well, I am waiting for the card and meanwhile I have all the strips and lances I want now. Now I am getting weird meter readings but my son did a control test with me and my finger tip when the Prodigy guy was on the phone and we had to check all the darned dates and labels and everything and he said my meter was fine. I guess I am not fine. I am varying from low to 420 depending on when I test. My feet are swelling on top and hurt, my right leg hurts where I popped a muscle or something on Friday. It is at or near 100 degrees with awful humidity today and I think it is playing heck on my strips. I think I will bring my meter and strips in here where we have the air conditioning on. A friend picked me up some Theralgesic or whatever it is called and I rubbed it on my leg where it hurts. What is the best thing to do with feet that feel awful and like they are going to pop on top? Do they want warm or cold soaking or wrapping or what? I cannot really stay off of them completely with a husband completely in bed. Guest guest
Sugar, That's the company (ADS) I use. I've had no bad experiences with them in about 3 years or so. And as far as getting a new meter, you don't need one after only 3 years, unless it's broken. Dave " ...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Guest guest
Did you get your doctor to prescribe enough strips per day? This needs to include boo-boos!
