Actually, that is how I was able to finally get it somewhat under control,

by taking 2 500mg tabs in the morning after breakfast, then one after lunch

and one after dinner. This brought more relief, but hasn't illuminated the

gastric issues completely. I see they have an Extended Release tab which

seems to be covered as well by my Humana so I'm going to talk to my doctor

and see if he will switch me to those instead. I'm also going to try the

Yogurt thing mentioned by Pat. Thanks.

If one is having them try splitting the dose into 3 times or more a day

instead of the usual 2. Take it with meals. Many people find good results

using the slow release forms. These should not be split but a smaller tab

more times of the day might be in order. All of these have the effect of

keeping a more constant level in the blood. Spikes in blood level are

associated with gastric effects.
