Guest guest
There is a relationship between salt and insulin. Salt deficiency keeps insulin from entering the cells, and this may cause a build up of glucose in the blood stream. Some medical conditions require salt restriction like congestive heart failure. Salt adequacy is necessary for insulin and glucose to enter the cells of the body. I now have salt cravings, and sometimes they are fierce. I am on a salt restricted diet due to congestive heart failure. With my long history of sugar adiction I often wonder if this is the cause of my salt cravings. Do other diabetics have salt cravings like I do? Sipping a little pickle brine usually satisfies my craving for a while. curious persons want to know, Harry
