Everyone. My husband.Mike is a

refrigeration/air conditioning engineer. He says that on these horrid

days with A/C

you cannot expect to have more than a 15 degree difference inside

than out. So if it's 100 outside be happy if you get down to 85!

Home A/C systems are set up that way...you have this 15 degree cooler

air with so much less humidity!

Just thought you'd like to know!!!

It makes no difference if you set the thermastat way down ...it's only

going to mess the compressor or condenser up...

not make the place any cooler.

I think you are right, but it is 110 deg here today, and 82 in the

apt. I suppose I should be grateful. I am I guess. I don't have any

other choice.

I will be 74 next month and born and raised in NJ and never could stand

the humidity. Spent many years in SD and loved it, but when we got

older, the 40 deg. BELOW zero got to us way too much.

The winters in Richmond are superb. Only sweater weather.
