Guest guest
Hi, I don't post much on this list because there seem to be multiple trains of thought regarding the proper management of diabetes, but I have to post this today. Seven days ago, my uncle, who was diagnosed 5 years ago with Type 2 diabetes was hospitalized with the flu. We found out that 4 years ago he got a flu vaccination , which made him mildly sick (a cold). He refused to get another one since. Well, the flu has developed into pnemonia, and the doctors have stated that they have done all they can do for him. He now has a breathing tube and a feeding tube installed/implanted. His family is gathering to say goodbye. Please, every year, get a flu vaccination if you can, and make sure your pnemonia vaccs are updated. 2 cents
