Guest guest
Lonna, I haven't heard of Via Voice, but why not give it a try? They say it takes a while to train the program to your voice. Congrats on your new litter. I'm glad the new mother is being a good mom. I don't envy the work with 10 pups!!! a ----- Original Message ----- From: Lonna Fisher <lonnagrd@...> Arthritis list < egroups> Sent: Wednesday, June 07, 2000 1:42 AM Subject: [ ] Hello again > Hi everyone, > I have been reading with interest all of your posts, > sorry I have not responded before but with a newborn litter of puppies > (see info below), my boyfriend moving in and my RA affecting my typing > hand, things have been busy ........ smile > > My RA hit at the age of 20, (I am 47 now), it started out as what I > thought was a bad case of the " flu " , a trip to the hospital (which > lasted 3 weeks) showed I had Rheumatic Fever as well as RA, I walked > into the hospital with difficulty and ended up walking out on two canes > and /or using a wheelchair, since than I have never been able to touch > much below my knees. I find this interesting because I have heard other members say that their child does not have tort, but they have a tight neck muscle. Essentially, congenital muscular tort is a tight neck muscle, it may be caused from inutero constraint (perhaps this could be construed as different if the muscle was not allowed to grow and was stunted?) or from laying in one position (essentially the same idea here) etc- which created a tight muscle and it needs to be stretched out. Take this seriously and do those daily stretches, this is the underlying problem that is probably causing much of the plagio, so definetly be on top of this. I will attach a link that shows stretches/hold that you can do also. Good luck! ' Mom Stretches/ Hold
Guest guest
I had the same questions as you. That's why we ended up going to the therapist. It just didn't seem to make sense. I'm glad to get to the bottom of the whole situation. > In a message dated 8/13/2002 2:01:03 AM Eastern Daylight Time, > jenferh@h... writes: > > > > The neurologist examined and said that she didn't > > have tort but definitely had a tight muscle that he wanted us to > > stretch all day long. > > I find this interesting because I have heard other members say that their > child does not have tort, but they have a tight neck muscle. Guest guest
More and more, doctors are slowly beginning to realize the problems with ignoring pain. My old Rummy didn't believe in doing anything to comfort a patient, so I fired him. and went to my old Rheumy. He immediately put me back on anti-inflammatories and added Morphine for my pain. It's not only my opinion, but pain needs to be treated like any other ailment. If your doctor doesn't believe in taking pain meds, find another one. And talk to your GP about treating your pain, and tell it like it is. After all, you're the boss paying them to do your bidding (to an extent). Guest guest
, I live in New Jersey and it was about a 6 hour drive for me, too. I had my explant surgery on a Monday and I had the drains removed on a Friday. Some people have their drains removed earlier, it just depends on the output - and they wouldn't allow me to leave until it was a certain amount per day or less. I chose Dr. Feng because she had alot of experience with explanting and I knew she'd get everything she possibly could out of my body, and I knew my chances of a good outcome were high if I used her. You're not being vain by wanting your results to be good, you deserve to look good. Guest guest
Hi Sis, Sorry it has been a couple days since i have logged on but thank you for the info. The nurse said i would have the surgery on a Wednesday because Dr Feng would consult with me on Tuesday so i just thought it sounded rather quick to have the drains out that Friday since they are not there on the weekends but as you said it all depends on the drainage. This still just blows my mind that i have to go to another state to have somwething that was " safe " removed properly. I am just so glad i found this site or i would have never known. > > > > Hello everyone, > > > > It has been a couple of months since i have been on the site but i > > wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday. Guest guest
Hello beautiful family, It's been so long since I touched base, so now that I'm getting re settled in our new house, I thought I'd come & say hi to everyone. I'm glad that everyone was as heartened as I to read the story about and pass it on or reply For all the newest members of the group, my name is Rhonda, just turned the big 40 & live on the east coast of New South Wales, Australia, I've just moved to a little seaside village by the name of (funnily enough) Sandy Beach, from the next seaside village over which is called (funnily enough) Emerald Beach. Yes the beach is sandy at Sandy and yes the water really is emerald at Emerald. lol Don't get me wrong when I say village though, beachside mansions (fetching well over 2 million aussie dollars) exist in both places, so perhaps village may not be the best description, but the population of both areas is rather small. Neither has a supermarket, but both have General Store's and everyone is quite friendly towards everyone else. Idyllic really. Anyway, I live with my 15yo son who is a lovely gentle giant and my brother moved in with me last year almost twelve months after our mum passed away unexpectedly at the age of (not quite) 57. He lived interstate with her at the time, but he & my step dad don't exactly get on that well so by mutual agreement (after living there for about 5 years) he moved out. My dad & stepmum have been very supportive & helped him move down here in September last year. It's been a bit of an adjustment for both of us, but we're very supportive of each other and we're coping well after much grief over mum and the way things have gone since she died. We have a twelve month lease on the house so will actually be able to settle a bit. (we've just spent the last 6 weeks staying in a friends caravan with no power or water while my son stayed with a friend in Emerald Beach) Suffice to say, we are very relieved to have finally found a place & have the internet up and running again! A great big HI to members I know so far and a great big HI to members I haven't met yet. For all you myspacers, if you want to come & say hi, my url is www.myspace.com/rhondiel I haven't had much internet time lately, but now that things are returning to some normalcy, I'm looking forward to the social outlet it provides! Love & light to you all! Rhonda Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Try it now.
