Guest guest
If one needs one or not is dependent on your insurance plan. If they treat strips as durable medical equipment then you need one. If it is treated as a perscription they do not like any drug. I have had insurance both ways. My current plan has it as a perscription and no logs required. Medicare does not care about the log, some rule making group defined the rule and no use is made of it. In protest I once filled out one with the same number for each entry. The strip place was happy because they did what medicare said and medicare was happy because there was a piece of paperin the supplier's files to fullfill the rule. Guest guest
Hmmm. I had to send my mail order supplier a prescription before they would send me strips. True, they're treated as durable medical, as far as I know, but without the prescription, Medicare wouldn't pay for them. And I don't think suppliers want the log. They're only doing what Medicare requires them to do. Dave " ...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
