Guest guest
Hi everyone, I am on a support call that the Washington State Council of the Blind has for diabetes every month. Tonight we had a dental hygienist on the call as a guest. She says that she read an article or took a course one or the other that said that if you have a1c's over 6.5 to 6.7 that you are at risk for complications. The highest you used to be able to go according to the ADA was 7.0. I'm wondering if anyone else has heard these new numbers. My A1c was back up to 8 and now I have it down to 6.9. I thought I was doing well but A friend who is on the call can't post to the list because of her email situation and I were just wondering about these new numbers. So, again, what does everyone think about these new numbers and has anyone heard about these new numbers and the risk of complications?
