Guest guest
Dear : as far as films (x-rays) of various parts of the body, I don't know if they request them or not. When I got my records I also got all my xray and diagnostic test films. You will have to go to the radiology department to get those. Most places keep the films there along with the written report. What all did you obtain when asking for medical records? Did you go by the list that I posted? If you need help or have more questions let me know. If you want, you can give me your phone number and I can call you and help you on the phone. I keep thousands of cell-phone minutes I use just for this purpose. So if you want me to call, juts let me know. Take care Kaye Fortenberry kfortenb@... North Carolina Chapter Rep. Guest guest
Hi Kaye - thanks for responding. I don't need to use up your cell phone minutes just yet, but maybe someday in the future I will take you up on that I didn't go by your list.. I know I looked at it once upon a time, but I am nowhere near that point yet. My primary referred me to a GI doc, and she had her office make copies of everything in my record since this problem had started - which wasn't much - two sets of bloodwork, results from two ultrasounds and a catscan. Also her written referral explaining my symptoms - although she did write something wrong - she said the mass or lesion or whatever it is was 2 mm, when it's really 2 cm. I had the HIDA scan done, and got a copy of those test results today. I've also had two more sets of bloodwork done, by two different places, so I need to get those results, and I need to get a copy of the report by my GI guy. I actually have my ultrasound and catscan films in my posession right now, since I had to bring them to another hospital where my EUS was to be done (but they didn't do it). The envelope says to return to the hospital tho - did you actually just keep yours? Or did they make a duplicate set for you?? Anyway, I don't have a ton of stuff right now, but I'm sure as this whole thing progresses I'll be adding to my collection. I'll definitely take a look at your list tho - that's a good idea - thanks. > > Hi Kaye - > > > > Just a quick question.
