Guest guest
I was talking to our DAN the other day about using anti-virals and he explained that there are different schools of thought about anti-viral usage. He initially suggested pulsing it (5 days on and then take a break and then go another 5 days). What he said this does is that it doesn't allow for natural selection to occur inside the body and leave the super-resistant virus to multiply. He said that by pulsing it, you leave some of the weaker bugs to breed with the stronger bugs and it weakens the " gene pool " of the virus in the long-run. Then, another philosophy I've heard people talk about on here is going months straight until it's all gone. Our DAN admits that there is no one be-all-end-all answer to this. That no one is really certain about viruses. This discussion has probably gone on before but I wanted to start it again. What's your take on this? I just want to hear people's different thoughts about this. What are people's experiences with one way or the other of using an anti-viral like valtrex? I remember reading in the newspaper a good many years ago, of a man who defeated AIDS back when then just started treating it. He says he pulsed the antivirals. I think it was 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off for a couple of years. It was pretty amazing, since at the time everyone was dying of AIDS. I think we can theorize this to death, but I would think the answer would be learned by doing a bunch of Googling to see who got results with pulsing versus not.Love and prayers,Heidi NI was talking to our DAN the other day about using anti-virals and he explained that there are different schools of thought about anti-viral usage. He initially suggested pulsing it (5 days on and then take a break and then go another 5 days).
