Congratulations! a1c I got my blood work back today and my a1c was 5.4. I have been off of insulin for about 3 and a half months now. Just taking metformin 1000 milligrams twice a day with diet. Guest guest
Yes, Junior's A1C is a great example of what is possible. At the risk of sounding harsh, I'll say it's not so much that he has some kind of super-human strength or will power, but only a strong desire to do what it takes. And some of us are in a better position than others to do what has to be done, to be sure. My point is, it can be done, that is, better control, good A1C readings, and a healthier body are all things most of us, if not all of us, can work toward, and eventually attain. Guest guest
Dave, I have always had a very strong stubborn streak in me. But I want to stay around for a few more years for my wife of 25 years. And she is very tight on me smile. I do have that determination not to cause myself any undue complications. I appreciate everyone's help on here. Guest guest
Congratulations, that's a great effort. Mine has gone up slightly because I have lost a bit of motervation. Time for me to start actually writing down my readings again. Cheers, Brett. > > Just wanted to let everyone know that my a1c in January was 13.
