Hi everyone! I just joined the group today and wanted to introduce

myself and say hello. I'm PJ, and have just begun the journey into IE.

I am just now reading the book but have listened to the CDs of the book.

I am so ready to reject dieting, having been a Weight Watchers member so

many times I can't count. The thought of going back to another WW

meeting is more than I can handle! I am excited about IE, but think it

will be a challenge for me. I joined this group because after I

finished listening to the book on CD, I still had so many questions.

I'm hoping some of you who are more experienced in IE will help me out.

For the past several months, I have allowed myself to eat pretty much

what I wanted to because I was so sick of dieting, but without

respecting fullness or satiety, so you can imagine where I'm starting at

now. :-(

Here's my first question: I'm a planner, and am so used to planning out

my meals for the day or even the week without regard for what I really

might want to eat. I am finding it difficult to identify what I really

want to eat when I'm hungry. Have any of you experienced this also, and

if so, any thoughts?

I'm also curious as to your tips on grocery shopping. It is difficult

for me to waste food, and being a planner, I'm used to stocking up.

I look forward to hearing from some of you, and am glad that this group

exists. Thanks.

PJ
