We are lucky to have hubby's parents near by and they help a lot with the kids when we want to do things. We are so fortunate.... Yesterday, I put up a shelf above my washer and dryer so I have a place to put the clothes when I fold them. I was so proud of myself.....I put anchors in the wall and screwed some 1x1's all the way around the area and put a shelf the whole length of the area. I even painted it a forest green (my favorite color). It turned out really nice and my arms a killing me today.....ugh....hubby was proud of me : ). Today, I am spray painting a hanging lamp for Brody's room. I got it for only 16.00 at home depot. It isn't that attractive but it isn't wired in and it will be easily removed someday to put something more permanent. It will plug into a plug that works off his bedroom switch and I put some stick on casing down the wall so he can't pull on it. He keeps playing with his lamp and after one fire in his room this year, I am afraid of another one!!! Tonight I am going out to dinner with my bestest friend of 13 years. Olive garden, mmmmmmmm.
