Guest guest
, I've been on SSDI for my pulmonary fibrosis since November of 2006. You should definitely inform Social Security of your additional diagnosis when it comes time for review if not prior to that. I don't believe that there is any type of automatic approval for this condition, honestly didn't know there was for any condition but as long as we meet the qualfying results on our PFT's etc approval is not difficult to get for most. There are states however where it can be much more difficult. I lived in NY when I first applied and was approved and had no problems at all. Beth Age 48 Fibrotic NSIP 06/06 Change everything. Love and Forgive Social Security Disability Does Social Security count pulmonary fibrosis as a automatic approvalfor benefits? Anyone getting benefits for PF? I am on social securityfor my cancer diagnosis & my bone marrow transplant at the moment. ButI was wondering when the time came for my review and I tell them aboutthis new diagnosis I would still be eligible for benefits. I'm goingto have to call them and see if they would count it with my cancerbecause it was a complication from treatments. I see myself feelingbetter later down the line, but right now, I'm still not capable ofworking even part time./22/ Ohio ~ Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Survivor of 2 years 12/2005~ Autologus Bone Marrow Transplant 09/2006 ~ Pulmonary Fibrosiscaused by chemotherapy 06/2008 ~

Guest guest
, I was approved immediately for SSDI due to the PF. I also have several AI diseases though and they could have factored in there. They will take it all into account upon review. Just be sure to have all your records handy. And again, I am so sorry you're having to endure all this at your age, though I guess none of us should have to endure this at any age. But my daughter is only a few years older than you and the " Mom " in me is seeing this through Mom eyes. Big hugs sweetie!!!
