Hi everyoe,

I just wanted to second the question of whether we can make coconut kefir

without using a commercial starter kit? The kits seem to use acidopholous . . .

or was it lactobacilli? Whatever the case, I have tons of it because my son

gets loads of probiotics every day. Can I just dump two capsules (or 4 or 6) of

the prebiotic along with say some Biotagen (a prebiotic to feed the probiotic)

into my green coconut water (bought them this weekend jumping the gun a bit

because I don't have starter)? Or will I end up with swill?

Thanks everyone,

Thanks everyone for your wonderful feedback, it helps me so much(:

Sandy-

I think my son has better attention, eyecontact, and his stimming is way down.

We take other biomedical/antifungals etc, but this seems to be really adding a

much needed increase in beneficial bacteria. He seems less foggy. Also he is

pooping daily, and it is more formed. It tastes pretty good, from what I

understand most kefir are difficult to drink- very sour.

Hope this helps!

so much(:
