Guest guest
Hello, this is my first time posting here. I only just joined the other day. I left another fitness forum due to snarky comments, etc. I have struggled and struggled with my weight and body. I am about 5'8 " and weigh 165 at my last weighing. I have pretty much been around 164-165 for several months now, which makes me happy as I have lost weight from about 180-178 lbs several months ago, and that took quite some time to happen. I will not lie though, my ultimate goal is to lose more bodyfat and yes, see the number on the scale go down some more. I am trying to get ready to train for running a half-marathon and being lighter would help some. And also, I quite frankly want to look like I workout as much as I do with weights and the running. I can't " diet " right now, meaning restrict what I am eating in any way. I have just reached this point where if I try to do that, I binge. I hate the binging feeling and I hate constantly thinking about food. I have not read any books on intuitive eating as I have spent soo much money the past couple years on diets and such that I don't want to keep spending money, as I don't have that kind of money (I am a teacher and single, so don't have a lot of money). I have started listing to the Inside Out Weight Loss podcasts and enjoy them so far, but have a lot of trouble figuring out hunger signals. I have been waiting til my stomach starts growling, but find myself cutting back on water as I'm afraid that will " hide " the hunger signals and I can't keep that up. So basically what I am asking is for help figuring out what is an appropriate time to eat. I find that if I turn off all distractions and eat slow, I can figure out when to stop eating. It's just finding the right times to eat. Thanks for any help. Let me know if more information is needed!
