CarolynAlthough not clergy, as a Hypnotherapist I too use my own experience (have taken the IE course which they run) to add to my own practice. I figure if my eating disorder can be resolved then I am in an ideal position to aid others healing. For myself it took me years to get to grips with, so time is needed to understand this aspect of the self.Another aspect which you may wish to cover is the philosophy of Mindful Eating. 'The Zen of Eating' book covers a more spiritual although again psychological view of why we have eating disorders. IE touches on the subject of ME as it runs in the background of their thinking, so provides a deeper look. As for the IE book mentioned I have read mine, especially for study purposes many times now, each time I am reminded of something about myself & where I am on my own journey. I am aware that my eating disorder is now my friend, not the enemy I once presumed it to be. I go back to work in the Jan of next year (hopefully) & sincerely hope to help others with the philosophy, although in the UK it does not seem that well heard of!Wishing you well with your journey Carolyn, this group & its members may be of value also. Pam
