My guess is what you heard came from someone's overly active imagination. But

try Googling it just for the fun of it.

Reactivating the Pancreas

Not too long ago (within the last year or so at least), I heard a story of

someone placing pepper on the end of a Type 1diabetic's pancreas. Supposedly

this pancreas then immediately began to produce insulin on it's own.

I don't remember where on the media I heard this, so I cannot vouch for the

story's validity, and I admit that it sounds like a good April Fool's joke to

me.

So I was wondering if anyone else heard this story, or was I merely

hallucinating.
