Guest guest
For some reason I have come across quite a few women who are working on intuitive eating and have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I don't know why this is, it could be simply coincidence. And I'll admit right here that I am no expert on this condition. And while I know intuitive eating very well, it's been very frustrating for me to listen to my clients that do have it and the extra challenges they experience that hamper their IE work. So I'm really happy I came upon this blog post and resource. The blog is called, "Incyst on the Best!", and it's run by the InCyst Network. I don't know anything really about this group except what I've read, but it looks like a hopeful resource for anyone that wants support in dealing with PCOS. And this post in particular talks about IE and PCOS, which was really excited to find. Here's the post: http://www.incyst.com/2009/11/is-it-possible-to-eat-intuitively-with.html I also know many of you are looking for in person support groups and I am always keeping my eyes and ears out for you. The InCyst group is starting a peer group in Mission Viejo, CA later this month. I don't know if it's strictly IE or with PCOS, although my guess is the later.
