Thanks Peggy, I didn't know all of this.

For the group members that don't know my story I'll be brief. My husband and I bought 3 acres here in the Ocala National Forest about 25 years ago. A week-end run away spot and hunt camp for and his buddys.

In Feb. 2003 wedecidedto move out of our home of 40 some years and move here permanently. We moved into our

new home April 2004. We needed to find a GP so went first. He was sent to the Hosp. straight from the Dr.'s office and wound up having a stint in his heart. I went to meet her a month later June 2004. We talked for 15 or so min. while sheexaminedme then she looked at my hands and said I have a heart disease and we need a few tests.

with in a week I was at a pulmonary Dr.s office being told I have IPF, with NOexplanation.

Long story short. My daughter got me an appointment at Shands in Sept. 2004. The broken glass was about half way up the left lobe and also in the bottom of the right.

Since then my Family and I have been through life, death and back again.

Well today I was looking for a picture and came across a couple pictures that were interesting. In 2003 on Mothers day and was surprised to see the clubbing, redcuticles. That means I have had this monster for over

5 years.. I'll put a couple pictures in my album it is easy to see. I know I had over a year of wet coughing every breath that was in about 2000 to 2001. I only know that because my Grand children came everyday after school and I could hardly make the PB & J's.

Take a look back at some of your pictures you may be surprised too.

Peggy,

That's a great picture of you clubbing or no clubbing! It's amazing how far back you can trace early symtptoms. The earliest I can think of anything is late summer of 2004. When I went to the optomotrist for glasses he asked me if I was short of breath, I didn't feel sob but he obviously noticed something. That was nearly two years before I was diagnosed. I never had any clubbing, still don't but it's wild how clearly you can see it in that picture you posted. And that you remember the cough all the way back to 2000. You know the symptoms start and we don't recognize it as anything serious, we just adapt and keep going until it's so obvious there's no denying it any more.

I have my prednisone picture but am still traumatized by it.. so I didn't post it.  I am doing ok. my breathing stinks when I am up walking around yet I can sit and not need my 02.. I seem to tire so easily. I went with today to take Ray (his brother) to his sisters house and was just reallypooped when we got home. This disease is hateful. But not to worry I am Blessed beyond measure.  Love and Prayers, Peggy   IPF  2004,  Florida"Worry looks around, Sorry looks back,  Faith looks up."

In 1994 I was shopping and hurt my back trying to get a doll from the bottom shelf way in the back and pulledsomething in my back. That was the beginning of fibromyalgia. I had that severely for 8 or 9 years and somewhere in the end of the mix the cough started. I remember having buy kleenex 6 boxes at a time. That was a roughtime in our lives. I can keep up with the years by remembering the ages of the twins. They were almost two when all this fun started.Ain't life grand..LOL  Love and Prayers, Peggy   IPF  2004,  Florida"Worry looks around, Sorry looks back,  Faith looks up."
