Guest guest
Hello, Becky, Most likely the talking feature got turned off when the meter was reset by your changing the battery. If you know which keys raised the volume, try pressing this key and see if comes up. If not, you might try to get a sighted person to turn the talking feature back on from the menu. This is very worrisome, I know. I had a meter problem this summer. Luckily, it turned out to be a bad vial of test strips and not the meter itself, but I was very, very concerned. It's not like we can just bop over to the nearest drugstore and pick up another meter. Dotty -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network. Guest guest
Hello, Becky, On one side of the strip is a stair step. You put it into the meter facing up, with the step going down toward the meter. At the other end of the strip is a rounded end. That catches the drop of blood. The end of the strip with the stair step down is flat, so it goes into the meter. Be sure you get it in all the way. Dotty -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network. Guest guest
I'll be interested in hearing your thoughts about the Solo V2 meter, Pat. I've used it now for nearly 3 months and have 3 or 4 issues. I've passed these on to Grey, and again to a representative from Advanced Diabetic Solutions, my diabetic supplies company.
