Have you found out which foods are 'well received' (not irritating) for you and which ones a NOT? I don't see how 'weight' can be THE factor in such a determination. I see where stress can be a factor but until you really know what is 'ahhhh' and what is 'oh no!' for your body, it would seem that focusing on 'weight' would be distracting from finding what YOU really need to know. One of the suggestions that can be hard to do at first is to be gentle with yourself. Musts and Shoulds haven't worked so far have they? And like WHO can know best about YOU other than yourself? Don't panic and gift yourself time and patience. I bet you find yourself in a better 'place' sooner than you think. ehugs, Katcha IEing since March 2007 > > I'm new to this group and wondering if there is a " good place " to start learning about how to stop the cycle of emotional eating. It's not just a behavior problem, but because I have IBS I really need to drop 45 lbs and start eating foods that doesn't have an adverse effect on my body. I have been under quite a bit of stress the last several years... and I really need and desire to move forward to resolve my financial and family situation. Eating appears to be of comfort for me, but I still need to stop " the cycle " of eating when I'm not hungry and snacking on foods that aren't completely healthy for me. > > Is there a file or article that can jumpstart my program...? > > Judy Ann >
