I ate at 5 a.m. I didn't get to take my reading until just a bit ago at

8-25. the first time it was 183, then I done it again and it was 153. I had 30

carbs for breakfast at 5 a.m. the only meds I take is two metformaen 500

milligram each, so I took 1000 milg at 3-30 a.m and I take another 1000 around

3-30 pm. so does this mean I'm still eating to many carbs for a meal? If I would

have took the reading exactly 2 hours after breakfast which would have been

seven a.m, would the reading be higher then now or lower? Why was both test

different by 30. which do I go by? this does however seem like a improvement

though, because in the hospital on the third my reading before I had ate was

around 240. even with the insulin they gave me it never went below 189. but I do

admit I wasn't eating good before that day I went to the hospital. could be it's

just going to take a while to slowly bring it down where it needs to be. I will

only have 15 carbs at lunch and then test again 2 hours later. now the CD said

to throw away the needle every time you use it. I know to throw away the strip,

but seems like a waste to throw out the needle when you can use it a few times

at least. I remember before when I tested I had to hit my finger 3 times and

more to get any blood set on high. but now I take a blood thinner and no more do

I have to do that. seems like I can start the blood by looking at my finger now.

probably had to much blood the first time when it was 183 and not as much at

153. but they are close anyway. seems like though if I had to base a dose of

insulin on my reading, the reading needs to be correct. but I don't do that at

this time. I will eat lunch at eleven and test around 1-30 and post my results.
