Guest guest
Geeks Tech tips has an article about running windows applications under LINUX. There is reference to a MAC version of an application called Crossover Office that will allow windows apps to run.http://www.geeks.com/techtips/2008/techtips-29JUN08.htmexcerpt from the articleCrossOver Office is an easy-to-use and powerful way to run Windows applications under Linux. There's a version for Mac, too. It only adds a bit to the overhead of your desktop computer or notebook. CrossOver Office isn't perfect, but definitely beats dual booting!http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/I haven't used this but it looks like a reasonable structure to allow windows applications to be installed in a non-windows environment so I thought I'd pass this on to some of the MAC users on the board. I know that Peggy has asked about something like this in the past. I'm sure it isn't perfect but I may give it a try on my LINUX system if I can ever get enough time to dedicate to it. I'm interested in getting a very old copy of MSMoney running in a non windows environment. Let me know if someone tries this out.Ken Baker UIP/IPF 12/05 New Hampshire
