Guest guest
Hello MJCongratulations of your pizza Mmmmm I'm noticing that when I eat quickly (my normal way of eating) I don't even take time to breathe because I am trying too hard to down that food as fast as I can. Where does that come from? HMMMMM? At some level you fear hunger. This is natural in all humans, but can be enhanced in people who have had to fight for their 'fare share', or of course those who have a history of dieting. In stems from deprivation. Spending time with hunger can be a good thing, I don't mean starving yourself, but allowing yourself to feel hunger & to explore your feelings connected to that hunger. Recognising what you feel when your hungry as well as what you feel when you have no food at hand can be an eye opener & a good tool to have with IE. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm moments can come from simple mindfulness. Start slowing down as you prepare the food, look at what your doing, think about how it has arrived on your plate, observe the food. When you then take that first mouthful it will have more of an Mmmm as it will be approached with thought.Pam
