Guest guest
I'm not all that well versed on Medicare and the supplement plans, but from what I've learned since they began 5 or 6 years ago, you can get pretty good coverage if you have the right one. That means the one that fits your specific diabetic and other medical needs. You say you don't want to use pens because of the expense. But vials aren't free. True, the per unit price is a little higher for the pens, but as I've indicated, if you find the right plan, you can get a box of pens (1500 units) for the cost of the co-pay. Under my present part-d plan, my co-pay is either $35 or $45 (it's different this year and I can't quite remember). I have no idea how your company health expense plan works. I'd guess it isn't going to work as good as the right part-d supplemental plan would. I'm not sure you can enroll in a part-d plan now. You may have to wait until nearer to the end of the year when enrollment is open. Dave " ...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
