I'm not so sure that this is simply a habit that you need to

change. Have you ever been tested for sleep apnea? Sleeping for

enough hours without feeling rested afterward is a common

complaint from people with sleep apnea. Your mind may be working

overtime that way because problems with breathing keep waking

you up. Even if that's not the issue, there may be some other

physical cause for your sleep problems.

I have issues with being woken up by any noise that is out of

the ordinary. When I was growing up, my nada used to feel free

to sneak into my bedroom while I slept to take whatever she

wanted to take. Once I was old enough to read books fit for

adults she used to come in and take my library books to read. I

learned to wake up so that I could stop her. What you're

describing sounds like something different though.
