Guest guest
Yepparooo, my nada was almost to the point of being an animal hoarder. But my fada always did the care taking of the animals. She was incredibly stupid with them and would put on a helpless act. Twice I saw her open the gate for the horses and stand helplessly as they ran away (and someone else chased and caught them) she did this nearly every time my dad would go out of town. I swear it took a good 2 -3 min of her waiting for them to run out before they realized they could get free. What kind of moron does that? And then there were the cats. When I was little, 6, 7 or 8, we had cats all the time. The cats would get pregnant and have kittnes. and then the kittens were officially my responsibility, Girlscout's cats. They were always having health problems and dying right there in front of me in my arms. little babies dropping dead on me. I was deeply deeply traumatized by it and I wasn't up for the responsiblity, I was just a 1st or 2nd grader. And I do think kids need some exposure to death, but good God, that was a lot of death, dismemberment and horror for a little girl to handle. I was just a little tiny kid - who couldn't find homes for and care for 8 or 9 cats at one time. To this day I have never wanted a cat. Too many issues. And why didn't they just spay the cats? It cost $40 and they said it was too expensive. . . Whatever!!! Compared to your child's mental health. . That was a terrible memory for me. Also, the doctors said I shouldn't be around cats because they flared my skin allergies, but nada didn't care and told me to lie to the doctors and say that we didn't have cats. I DO like cats now, but they are not the pet for me. . . And then when I got older, I watched how stupid nada was in her caring for her own animals and I never dared leave my gorgeous, beloved dogs with her. this was actually a huge huge issue, and I came to realize through this that unlike other people, I really couldn't count on my family to do shit for me. It was very emotional. > > > I now have nada's kitties that I rescues from her creepy friends and the > younger one is doing pretty good and even the older one is doing pretty > well, it's pretty obvious they ahve dealt with some neglect and I'm > wondering if you guys had nadas that weren't good with the pets. Guest guest
My nada mostly takes pretty good care of her pets' health. She doesn't put any serious effort into training them though and that can be a problem. I think they're substitutes for her unacceptable bad children and since they're " good " they don't need to be trained. For years she insisted that her dog didn't make messes in the house, yet almost every time I stopped there when she was at work there would be puddles or dog poo. that needed to be cleaned up. Each time I mentioned that, she'd somehow find a reason why that particular day was an unusual incident for which the dog couldn't be blamed. Guest guest
Growing up my nada HATED all animals. I had 2 kitties who I loved, but I was never allowed to have them in the house. I would sneak them in the house every day while I was home alone and every day nada would flip about her allergies. She was always going off on family member who had dogs or cats, and how they could not bring them to where she would be because of her allergies. She was frequently using the term " dumb dog. " Quickly after I moved out and went n/c she got herself a dog. And now she is telling everybody it was me who never like the dogs! I get so mad about this because it was always her but she projects her qualities onto others. Who cares if you don't like pets? but then don't be 2 faced and don't say it was somebody else. I understand not everybody is a pet lover, but don't put on the show, or blame others. I just find it so funny how her allergies ore magically gone. I feel bad for the dog though. My cousin who secretly talks to me was telling me that the dog is in very bad physical condition. It cannot even properly go to the bathroom anymore because it is so obsess because nada and dishrag feed it like crap and never give it exercise. I am not surprised. My cousin is an animal lover and treats her pets like children, she feel s very bad for the dog, me too. > > I now have nada's kitties that I rescues from her creepy friends and the younger one is doing pretty good and even the older one is doing pretty well, it's pretty obvious they ahve dealt with some neglect and I'm wondering if you guys had nadas that weren't good with the pets. Sounds like their caregivers weren't too sure what to think, the gentleman that took care of them but didn't know what to do about it.
