Hi, Ruth,

Glad to hear! I'm baffled at the information the customer service representative

at Liberty Medical gave me, if you read my original message about this. She

promptly suggested another " talking " meter called the " Embrace, " I believe it

was. As far as I know, that meter has limited audible output.

Is there any reason you know of as to why Liberty Medical would be shunning the

Prodidgy meter?

Prodigy question

So, they are discontinuing the Voice, and I suppose they are no longer going

to make the strips either?

that the lifespan for a talking glucometer in the states is about 5 years.

Any chance of getting refund on the meter my wife and I purchased?

Dave,

When I first needed to find a place that did the diabetic supply thing, I

started with Liberty. They were awful often making errors and trying to

convince me to use their own particular supplies.IMO, they are snooks!

So glad to hear from Ruth that this is not true!

I'm just waiting for the new talking insulin pump. Any news on when that is

coming out?

I'd be interested in hearing about the pump, too.

I'm just in the process of getting a new one as the warranty on my Cozmo

has expired. I've chosen the Animas Ping because I can at least read its

screen with a strong magnifier (I can't read the scree on the Minimed at

all!). But if a talking pump is on the horizon soon I would hold off to

get that.

Pat,

I hate to label anyone or any company for one experience, but I must say, for

them to say what they said to me indeed puts them in the " snook " category!
