Kelp is the only thing I keep finding when looking up sources to buy.To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Sun, February 6, 2011 12:13:12 PMSubject: Re: There is not an one answer for all our kids suffering with autism. Thank you , I am glad you liked it. Synthroid is bad stuff. I almost have to say shame on that Dan doc for not rxing natural Desiccated thyroid. Granted most docs think patients are havin some sort of placebo effect when they say they feel better on natural than synthetic. Sorta like when docs say autism cant be helped with biomed. There is alot of info from people on the iodine list about the importance of natural thyroid. Kelp is another bad thing. There just isnt the right kind of iodine to iodide ratio that is shown to be needed. And most believe processed kelp to be full of metals/or toxins. So not usually recommended. I tend to think its the iodine deficiency that causes the problem with amalgams, both theories (your sis and I) are probably correct. I also believe putting mercury even in healthy peoples teeth is insane! There is a thread on the mother list that is long and extensive but with lots of great information and links. http://www.mothering.com/community/forum/thread/1091794/the-iodine-thread Curezone also has an iodine thread. Lots of info. http://curezone.com/faq/c.asp?a=13,281,2962 http://curezone.com/faq/q.asp?a=13,281,2962 & q=509 http://www.iodine4health.com Cheryl > > First I want to say - I love that you used the word "daft." > > This is a great post. I measured the time it took for the patch to disappear. Funny, during that time his DAN cut his synthyroid in half...when I stopped, the fluctuations stopped. This had given me new insight, but I didn't realize how much, until I read your post. This is GREAT info, and if you have sources of information that I can read, I would appreciate the insight and direction. > > My sister and I have been discussing this issue at length recently - as she purchased some dulse to put on his food. (They will be gone by Feb. 21! Yeah!) -- but this adds another piece to the puzzle...one that I had looked at and dumped because I didn't understand the complexity. > > Thanks for such a great post.
