Guest guest
Reflexology has helped me the most when I am carrying stress/tension/pain in my body. The back muscles I tighten cause kidney pain, digestive collapse, and that's just for starters. Luckily, my husband got interested in reflexology years ago, and now has a standard spot on the pad of my thumbs that once pressed, usually releases the muscle band that causes the trouble. Your spot/spots will be individual to you. The first book he found was by Mildred , and its still a great reference ( " if it hurts, RUB it " ). After trial and error, we found points on my hand seem to release torso issues better than foot points. Also helpful is the Chinese acupressure point LI-11 (good for when you are carrying anger--do not use if feeling weak/low energy) If you haven't already tried this therapy, please give it a try. The beauty is you can do it on your own or with a loved one. Warning, though, this stuff really hurts sometimes--the more a point hurts, the more likely it is be be causing your symptoms. > > So, my biggest problem (maybe) as a result of the hell bitch, is that I am > in almost constant pain on my right side. Guest guest
I knew a lady once that had terrible fibromyalgia (I think she was in a wheelchair at one point) and she told me when I met her that what had helped her was getting tomatoes out of her diet, any thing with tomatoe sauce in it and that drastically improved her life. I know that is a shot in the dark but I just wanted to share it because her condition was so bad and when I met her she was able to walk and was spreading the message high and low about her recovery. > > So, my biggest problem (maybe) as a result of the hell bitch, is that I am > in almost constant pain on my right side. Guest guest
Girlscout Cowboy, I'm sorry you are dealing with fibromyalgia. I know that really sucks. I would suggest: 1. Keep doing what you're doing with the exception of 2. Try to let go of this: " I've got to get rid of it!! I'm desparate! " 3. Maybe every once in a while, get yourself into a meditative state and ask the fibro what it is that it wants you to acknowledge/pay attention to. Listen. Thank it. Maybe find a way to pay attention to that thing, with writing or drawing or collaging or anything. I know that sounds kooky, but I think with autoimmune diseases, our body is trying to tell us something and if we agree to listen, that can help. Best, Deanna > > So, my biggest problem (maybe) as a result of the hell bitch, is that I am > in almost constant pain on my right side. Fibromyalgia. Guest guest
I'd advise seeing a shaman trained in doing extractions. Shamans specifically are trained to detect what they call intrusions - foreign energies - lodged in the body and energy field and trained to get them out " extraction " . I can't say for sure if this would fix your fibromyalgia but it might help since you think this pain is related to someone else. Meditation might be good too but my guess is you are already doing that anyway. Hope you find something that works. > > So, my biggest problem (maybe) as a result of the hell bitch, is that I am > in almost constant pain on my right side. Fibromyalgia. Guest guest
deanna i think you have a very important message here in this reply to girlscout cowboy, the importance of listening when our bodies are perhaps trying to tell us something.. and i agree the many of the autoimmune diseases (mine is arthritis) are perhaps ways our body does deal with issues which need to be heard by us in some way.. a way that we are not able to hear in any other way, and so we become full of pain and disability. i have experienced other physical sensations in my body due to emotional upset that are also very uncomfortable, most recently a very queezy stomach and over all 'blah' feeling. when i talked it over with a trusted friend i began to sort out my emotions, some from the past and at last began to cry.. unresolved grief from the past was causing those sensations in my body and once i could talk about them, feel them and cry about them, the bodily manifestations went away.  i was 'cured' so to speak at least for that time. thanks for mentioning this, part of the mind-body connecting i think. ann > > > Girlscout Cowboy, I'm sorry you are dealing with fibromyalgia. Guest guest
Thanks you guys. I'm so open to suggestions and healing right now. And this is weird, but yesterday I spent an hour with my therapist. And after (I was in the midst of a really bad fibro flare up) my neck and shoulder felt - not totally better - but relieved and lighter. So Yeah, I believe in the mind body. Any healing vibes you can send my way is appreciated many many many times. Thanks, Girlscout > > > deanna i think you have a very important message here in this reply to > girlscout cowboy, the importance of listening when our bodies are perhaps > trying to tell us something.. and i agree the many of the autoimmune > diseases (mine is arthritis) are perhaps ways our body does deal with issues > which need to be heard by us in some way.. a way that we are not able to > hear in any other way, and so we become full of pain and disability. > i have experienced other physical sensations in my body due to emotional > upset that are also very uncomfortable, most recently a very queezy stomach > and over all 'blah' feeling. when i talked it over with a trusted friend i > began to sort out my emotions, some from the past and at last began to cry.. > unresolved grief from the past was causing those sensations in my body and > once i could talk about them, feel them and cry about them, the bodily > manifestations went away. i was 'cured' so to speak at least for that > time. > thanks for mentioning this, part of the mind-body connecting i think. > ann > > > > > > > > > Girlscout Cowboy, I'm sorry you are dealing with fibromyalgia. Guest guest
Girlscout Cowboy, yoga sounds great. After I wrote that poem that I posted here, I felt so much better myself. Then I started writing all this silly, fun poetry. It was like that poem was a demon that needed to be exorcised, like it was plugging up good things. I feel so much better now, and I hope you do soon too! Guest guest
I am with you GS. (sorry I haven't been on for awhile - busy season here) I wouldn't be surprised if I get fibromyalgia or polymyalgia rheumatica. Nada has the later. Sometimes I can just feel the stress of going NC and nada's smear campaigns eating away at my well-being. Long story short, I have been working at exercising and weight loss for 4-5 years now with yo yo success. While I was running yesterday, I was thinking about why I get stuck or end up sabotaging my own success. It came to me, while not a big surprise but in a deeper manner, that having parents who take credit for my successes and are embarrased by my failure instead of supporting me, I don't think I deserve to succeed on my own accord. I could see this issue weighing me down in my brain very much like the extra weight I am carrying weighs me down. Living under or even being under my parents roof is like being pushed down by a big thumb that won't let you breath. I think I am clearly hanging onto at least part of that burden and it manefests itself in extra weight. Not to mention the general stress of it all on my thyroid gland I am sure contributes to it more literally. But it is this stuff we are hanging onto that keeps nada in our heads. I think identifying them is that first step in plucking that junk out of our heads. For some reason I do best when I tell no one that I am working out and I work out alone. I am not sure what that means but I get derailed easily by people's comments. Maybe because I take what anyone says as an attempted attack on my success? I am sure another flea from being better off not telling nada anything. I guess what Deanna said about letting your barriers/pain/frustrations tell you what that next thing is that we need to learn about and eventually overcome, really hit home with me. peace, patinage > > > > >Â > So, my biggest problem (maybe) as a result of the hell bitch, is that I > > am > > > in almost constant pain on my right side. Guest guest
My autoimmune disease is Celiac Disease. The only helpful thing is to be on a gluten- free diet. I have been doing alot of research on the subject and studies have shown that a gluten- free diet can help other autoimmune diseases with some of their symptoms. Maybe it could help some of the pain you are feeling. > > So, my biggest problem (maybe) as a result of the hell bitch, is that I am > in almost constant pain on my right side. Fibromyalgia. Guest guest
I don't have FMS, but I know there is a newer drug out called Savella- have you tried that? If not ask your doctor. Other FMS drugs include Lyrica and Cymbalta. I have seen them all help FMS. About the energy- get someone to clear it out! There are people that can do that. I don't know how to find them other than word of mouth. I also have found that when someone leaves a bad energy vibe I spray some Rose water and that helps me a lot. > > So, my biggest problem (maybe) as a result of the hell bitch, is that I am > in almost constant pain on my right side.
