So I really did not know the word Diabetes until I was much older. They talked of different aunts or uncles or cousins who had died because they had sugar really bad. I found that kind of perplexing because I knew sugar was sweet and you had it on cereal or in cookies or whatever. So it was never explained to me. birthday > > Today is my birthday.
