Guest guest
Bruce, you mentioned that there are 13 teaching hospital that know aobut PF. I am being followed at Loma University Med Center. What are the 13 hospital? I feel comfortable with them. My Dad died of COPD. He took prednisone for several years before his death and I made up my mind then that it wouldn't be worth it. Nothing that I've read here has changed my mind. Jo
Guest guest
Jo There are many teaching hospitals with some specialty in pulmonology and some expertise with IPF. So, don't get me wrong there. However, there are 13 Centers of Excellence for IPF. They are those shown on this map plus Duke University which heads the program. In general they follow the same protocol and they exchange information heavily. The nearest to you would be UCLA and I'd think regardless worth the trip for a second opinion and review. Most who go to one of the centers do feel more comfortable after even if nothing changes. https://www.ipfnet.org/ >> Bruce, you mentioned that there are 13 teaching hospital that know > aobut PF.
