Guest guest
Hey Group, I’m not sure if the person who posted this question has been using B6 with the B-12 first, our children our really deficient in B-6 which is needed to complete the methylation process, I had a similar Reaction when I tried folinic acid on my daughter. I would recommend using B-6 first for awhile before adding the folinic acid about a month otherwise the buildup of folinic acid will cause homocysteine to build up and that is what we are trying to prevent. With that being said B vitamins seem to cause yeast to flare so for my daughter I give her Saccharomyces boulardii to offset the yeast it works, also I don’t know if you are removing things in the diet that cause yeast to flare, but try it( the S-Boulardii) and see if it helps. Guest guest
LOL Not barbaric at all. I have to sit on mine and fight him just to brush his teeth Always Call Christie Gravatt We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience! Girl, you keep hitting the nail right on the head. Magnesium and zinc were huge here. Super doses of vitamin C, too. But boy, does this kid respond to minerals. I had just left my son's dan an e-mail last night asking why he recommends folinic even tho we've stopped methyl b. I ended the note by telling him I think we need to add the b complex back in and I think he needs the b6 more than anything - so it's funny you should mention this. thanks again To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Fri, January 28, 2011 10:41:13 AMSubject: Folinic acid Hey Group, I’m not sure if the person who posted this question has been using B6 with the B-12 first, our children our really deficient in B-6 which is needed to complete the methylation process, I had a similar Reaction when I tried folinic acid on my daughter. Guest guest
Huge help. Because our kids are so similar in their response to certain things, I think I'll add the manganese and molybdenum into the line-up. We are so close to kicking this thing in its ass. : )-TammyTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Fri, January 28, 2011 3:43:00 PMSubject: RE: Folinic acid I give Magnesium Citrate 170 mg in pill form, It took patience but I taught my daughter how to swallow pills at first it seemed impossible but it has been well worth the 3 days it took to teach herNow she swallows all her vitamins no problem! I’m not sure if you’re asking that but I withheld held a favorite snack at the time it was an SCD legal cookie and I wouldn’t give in until she put the pill in her mouth. My best friend is an RN and she told me to put it in her mouth with a sip of water and here is the hard part I needed help but hold the nose closed and the mouth and you have no choice but to swallow. I know it sounds barbaricBut my child hurting herself forced me to take extreme action in getting her better, and I have never regretted that decision, my child was super picky and every time I put an opened capsule or liquid in food or drink you couldBe sure she wouldn’t touch it again, so I had no choice. FYI I use Vitamin C in high doses too with NAC to promote Glutathione, yes my child responds well to minerals and I haven’t even mentioned my favorites which were manganese and molybdenum wow what a boost in her language and happy moods. But B complex with extra B6 is super important it’s the stress vitamins and as we all know our kiddos are stressed out, so was mom till I used them on myself (which I always do before her)Sorry for the long winded msg. Hope this Helps!Sandy From: mb12 valtrex [mailto:mb12 valtrex ] On Behalf Of AlbertaSent: Friday, January 28, 2011 2:53 PMTo: mb12 valtrex Subject: Re: Folinic acid How are you giving magnesium? I'm not really sure how to give magnesium and what kinds of quantities of magnesium are we looking at? Thanks for the info about B6, Sandy. I've been neglecting our B6's in our house.
