Guest guest
yes--I've tried cerefolin (prescription level folate--used for alzheimer patients) and deplin on my child; however, they mad him hyper nutty and he's already quite hyper. Another friend tried cerefolin with her son and he responded well. Currently my ADD husband (oh yeah, I diagnosed him... ;-) ) is on cerefolin and he loves it. Says that he feels scattered and less motivated when he's not on it. Like everything else, it is one of those things that you can try with your kid--for some it works well--others like mine--don't tolerate it well and get a little nutty. I do biomed with success with my just turned 8 year old PDD-NOS, ADHD, mainstreamed kiddo (with lots of support). But we're always tweaking it a bit. Hope this helps-- ps. oh, I got my 79 year old mom on it too--she likes it. Cerebral Folate Deficiency? Anyone deal with this? Treatment apparently can have significant gains. I'd not heard of this 'til today when I was chatting with our Dr.. Casandra
