Guest guest
OH, I was thinking Sal was male! Okay, so, you must have had gestational diabetes. Well, I'm also a type 1. I've had diabetes for 45 years now, having been diagnosed in 1967 at age 11. Do you have and use a talking blood glucose testing meter? If so, which one? How are your A1C's? Have you achieved a satisfactory level of control, and if so, could you share some of what you've done to get there? Thanks! Dave " ...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! Guest guest
I thought you were a male too! LOL.. I am Lora, welcome to the group, Sal. I just found out I am a diabetic in June, and am still trying to come to terms with it and I am in a stressful situation of being a care giver to my husband who is bed bound. So my doctor does not want to go with insulin for me yet and has me on two glyburide pills a day now. I hope you will gain a lot of support and company here. Guest guest
hello dotty thanks for your welcome. I'm currently using a machine called the clever check as far as i know i think its available in America to. to be honest with you its a fairly new machine and i am not happy with it. also some of the hospital staff who gave me the machine said that they are getting allot of complaints about it. what kind of machine are you using and how is it to use. regards From: Dorothea Sent: Sunday, January 15, 2012 4:52 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: New member Hello, , Welcome to the list. I have been on the list for about a year and a half and have learned more from this list than from anything else. Could you tell me what kind of glucometer you are using in Ireland? I am always interested in the technology and different countries have different talking meters. Dotty -- Email services provided by the System Access Mobile Network.
