Doville, Can you purchase "simply saline" nasal spray at the drug store? Cleans the nose right out, even If they don't blow. For sleep ( this is not a joke, and I am not a nut case) put mentholatum or vicks vapor rub on the soles of your child's feet. Cover with socks. I use about 1/4 tsp fot each foot. This works like a charm for a restful night's sleep through heavy congestion. No idea why it works, but it does. Sent from my iPhone

Hi All,

My son is going through a lot of die-off right now and his nose is so congested he has to breathe through his mouth. Also, he hasn't been eating much, because I think he has hard time swallowing the food. Does anyone know a good remedy to help with congestion? I did give charcoal to help with die-off, but it didn't help with congestion. I also use electrical pump to suck all the boogers (we call it "booger extractor"). Any ideas?

Thank you,

Dovile

Thanks so much, Karren. I forgot to mention that I tried to use Children's saline drops and it does help some, but every time I spray it hurts him (after I spray I use electrical pump to suck everything out). Also, I happen to have Mentholatum ointment, so I will try it tonight and see how it goes.

Thanks,

Dovile

Oh, sorry the saline hurts, Doville. Let me know about the feet- sounds silly doesn't it, but magic in our house. I use it too when congested.Sent from my iPhone

Have you tried a NeilMed? Similar to a netty pot in function but it is a squirt

bottle instead so I think it is much easier to use. My NT four year old will use

it but haven't tried on my ASD two year old only because I can't explain it to

him. It doesn't hurt at all, just feels a little weird. You can use it on

yourself so you can see how it feels. We got one at Local drugstore after seeing

Dr Oz swear by them and a friend who couldn't shake the flu was advised by a

microbiologist to rinse her sinus cavity as the bacteria was likely " stuck " .

Next day she was better. It will clear your son right out. My daughter was

resistant at first but now that she realizes how good she feels after she doesnt

fuss about it. We use it the second we start to feel sick and it seems to wipe

it out. Good luck!

Not sure if this helps, but I use the nose clips that open the nasal

passages . Tammy F.
