Guest guest
WE used oxytocin for about 8 months and it was a WOW!!!!! for us. Increased socialization, more eye contact, a word or two and really started to want to sit with us, run to us to get hugs, etc. It was one of the most successful things we tried. I took him off last month just to see what would happen, and he has kept the gains so I have not continued, but i loved what it did for my son. > > Hi All- > > MY DAN doc has given me a rx for oxytocin nasal spray and is adding DMG to his regiment. I have done some reading on oxytocin, was wondering if anyone had experience with either of these good or bad? > > Thanks, >
Guest guest
I have two children who have been using Oxytocin Nasal Spray for 2 y 9 mo and 2 y respectively. No die off or negatives. Our is covered by ins. We get it from Lee Silsby Pharmacy. They submit it to ins. We saw gains in calming, socialization. DS was afraid of the babysitter at the time and also had a hard time w HBot but w Oxy. he was social and actually looked forward to joining w his sisters in games and stories with the babysitter and went to the HBot more happily. DD has severe anxiety, adhd and has had PANDAS all of which were improved with Oxy. DS uses it 2 x per day, she sometimes uses it 4 x per day if needed. Only downside for me is it need to be kept refrigerated. You also need to get it every 2 months because it has a short life. > > Hi All- > > MY DAN doc has given me a rx for oxytocin nasal spray and is adding DMG to his regiment. Guest guest
Thank you to ALL! I so appreciate your feed back and I will keep all information in mind before I decide on using. I've been on a really bumpy road here lately and it always feels comforting to hear feedback from ones who have experience before starting something new. Thanks again!ASent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®Sender: mb12 valtrex Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2011 02:56:42 -0000To: <mb12 valtrex >ReplyTo: mb12 valtrex Subject: Re: Oxytocin / DMG Advice Needed I have two children who have been using Oxytocin Nasal Spray for 2 y 9 mo and 2 y respectively. Guest guest
I don't believe oxytocin is something that builds up in your system. It's kind of like melatonin, it either works or it doesn't. Effects only last for a few hours - I'm not sure how many. It's one of those things that addresses symptoms but doesn't fix the cause (why there's low oxytocin).I might be wrong on this, though. I only guess this because everyone I know that uses it uses it on an "as needed" basis. Meaning, it's been several hours and they're starting to have behaviors - quick squirt of oxytocin and things get better quickly. I don't know the dosing of it though so I don't know how many times you can or can't take it in a day. Our DAN Rx'ed it compounded as candy - if that gives any indication of how it's dosed. She asked if I wanted spray or candy, I chose candy so I could put it in his lunch box. But we never got it and I never actually saw the Rx to know the details of how much and when to take. But I'm pretty sure it's more along the lines of an "as needed" thing. I would guess that if it's not working for you, time isn't going to fix that. Cheryl ~http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com~~@Gryffins_Tail~ We are currently on oxytocin, for about 2 weeks now. Don't see anything yet one way or the other. We tried it for 30 days several months ago and saw nothing so I stopped it b/c it's expensive. I'll give it longer this time. Soraya We tried Oxytocin for a while. It didn't do much for us, except it made my son a little bit more anxious, rather than less. That was the case with Gaba also for him.
