Guest guest
Mark, All oils are 100% fat. Some are better for you than others. Olive oil and other vegetable oils are better for you than butter or the fats you get from red me and chicken skin. Also, many processed foods have bad fats in them. How is your friend feeling now? /That can be very painful to have pancreatitis. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Thursday, October 06, 2011 3:29 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Pancreatitis. A friend of mine is in the hospital with pancreatitis attack last night. his triglycerides are over 900 and have been for a while. this isn't the first trouble he has had with pancreatitis. they told him this time to go home and cut out all fats from his diet. not cut down, but cut them totally out. I thought you had to have some fats in your diet to live? aren't most fats found in animal products? my triglycerides are 500, but I have all ready cut way back on all animal products like dairy and red meat. I suppose chicken and fish don't have fats like red meat and pork? what about peanuts and avocadoes? some one said olive oil had a lot of fat as well canola oil. they say olive oil is ok for us diabetics. the saw boney did tell me that with a high triglyceride as mine is, that what my buddy has now if what can happen to me if I don't bring them down over the next 3 months. ok I'm doing that now, but just need to know for sure where will I find fats and what foods do I need to be aware of the most?
