Guest guest
Hi all, For those of you who follow this fruity saga with my son and his lonnnnnnnnnngggggg list of so called experts.....I recieved a call from his neurosurgeon who has now decided he needs to have a lumbar puncture. I have to laugh because two days ago the neurologist he referred me to said he thought all his horrific headaches were due to food allergies......which he never had until he fell off of the monkey bars at school! lol. Well anyhow, my son's pediatrician has been saying for the last 3 months he thinks he has a pressure problem. I requested my son be sedated since he has already endured one lumbar puncture with no sedation and it was horrible. The nurse informed me that this one will be done under floroscopy and it shouldn't be as bad. Is this true? I would hate to make him suffer again. Otherwise she said it will be a month before they can do the tap because he will have to have a physical and be seen by anesthesiologist. Nothing is ever easy is it. Thanks for any info.
