Thank you for sharing your personal info as it helps me to calm down a bit regarding this situation.Subject: A Message for To: Breathe-Support Date: Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 3:27 PM Hi , I am so sorry that you have been diagnosed with IPF. I am the same age as you are and I was diagnosed in 1998. I, too, have dealt with allergies. I have allergies but I don't have all the other autoimmune diseases that they said I had. When I was diagnosed, I had no idea what it was and did not really freak out about it I am glad you are here with us. There are centers all over the country that treat IPF and I know UCLA is one of them. Just ask them if the doctor you are going to see specializes in IPF. When you go, let us know how it goes. My dad also had IPF but he had no idea that he had it. Three weeks after he entered the hospital, he passed away. He was 73 years old. Toodles!
