they are absolutely insane.

If she is upset he is upset about whatever she is upset about. And then what's

so funny is he will defend her behind her back but she always puts him down

right in front of him in the third person. Which gets him all rageful. Whoever

is in the room she will pretend like she is talking to you and say " he never

picks his towels up off the floor so I always have to do it... " in the most

pathetic voice...you can hear the 'gloom, despair, and agony on me/deep, dark

depression, excessive misery' song in the background every time she does this.

they go on a cycle like this. they are crazy and they make me crazy.

nada's hoovering like crazy. After six months of saying the worst things

possible to me, she is now acting like I am an angel. She is " pretending " to be

ok with my change in career and all of a sudden fada is on board too.

know exactly what's going on. I have been fighting nada and fada since Jan to go

to business school and today fada asked me what kind of school I was going to,

what kind of degree I was getting, and what kind of job I'd have after. We have

belabored these details for 8 months now! When I went through all the details

(again), he said it all sounded like a really solid plan- the complete opposite

of " you're ruining our life and shaming the family. "

Yes.

When we were growing up in families like this, we'd turn into cameleons to

survive...I think it's the same with dish rag dads. It's just easier to agree vs

get in trouble.

Either that or they're both completely batshit crazy. Or I am.
