There's nothing harsh in Zinco. When people are reacting to it, they are

reacting to it cause it has one of their triggers in it. It may or may not

have one of yours. If it's not a do, try the regular zinc oxide. And then

try the oils Just do it one at a time and start now. :) I swear I'll bop

you if you don't figure this out BEFORE you go.

<<and what would my entire regimen be.....would i

add an oil to moisturise and then follow it with the

zinco and leave it at that?>>

For the oils, you add a drop to your rinse water and then blot dry. Then

your med. Then your zinc whatever you decide.

<<so is vitamin e the way to go for a simple moisturiser,

or what about aloe vera juice?>>

It's going to depend on your triggers. Honest. You've gotten good advice

with the oils - the main ones are Emu, Chamomile, Jojoba, Safflower, what am

I missing? Know I'm missing some..... Take the time to try them and see if

any of them are good for you and your skin. If they are, great. They'll

help you before or after laser. If they aren't, you'll know to avoid them

after laser.

Some people do swear by Aloe Vera Juice. So, test it. If your skin says -

AHHHH - you've got yourself a do. If you have the slightest reaction, don't

use it and keep hunting.

<<from what i have read from this group regarding

photoderm, i don't want to go ahead with the laser

stuff 100% but i NEED to do something >>

Good. Then you have the time you need to figure out what products will work

for you before you go. Slow down. The procedures aren't going anywhere.

You can do it the next month or the month after or the one after that. When

you know what works for you.

Thank you for welcoming me to this group. I feel a little unsure, anxious even, to give myself permission to eat all foods without restricting. I just had dinner and overate, but I think I was starving from not eating much during the day. I am grateful to have found a group of people who share the same goal: that is, freedom from food obsession and compulsion. Could anyone suggest methods for getting started? As I write this, I think number one is give myself a break. I have been beating myself up for overeating, eating the 'wrong' thing, and the list goes on. My wish is to have peace with food. My goal is also to love and accept all of me, including my body. Can anyone relate? It would be great to hear feedback about your

journeys. Thanks and take care, Hope

Hi Hope,

Glad to have you with us.

My suggestion is to try for baby steps. This is a big change you are shooting for, and big changes take time. Forgiveness and self love, regardless of weight, are a great place to start, as is merely observing hunger and fullness, without trying to force change in your eating to start.

Let us know how it goes!

Best,

Abby
