Guest guest
Someone offered: " I have been looking for a possible substitute for my Metformin since reading Dr. n Whitaker's material against it. I am seriously " Me: I did a bit of poking around on this person's web pages. I find a direct and serious conflict of interest for someone to bad mouth some products and sell others he pushes. It is fine to suggest suppliments, I use them, but his basic motivation is to me greatly suspect. There is no single other diabetes drug then metformin that has been studied more extensively these 30 and more years it has been used. Among all drugs it has one of the safest records and no dangerous side effect can be clearly attributed to it except in some very rare examples. It is very effective and has multiple benefits for a diabetic. If one looks into the research literature this is clearly shown. Guest guest
Eating low sugar yogurt often helps gets past that side effect of metphorman. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Rick Alfaro Sent: Monday, May 02, 2011 9:58 AM To: blind-diabetics Subject: RE: GlucoComplete I've been taking Metformin for several years now. I started off with 1000MG daily but due to high a1c readings due to weight gain, the dose was brought up to 2000mg. The increased dosage has definitely brought down my a1c, but the transition to 2000mg was really hard on my stomach. It took me over 2 months to get mostly past the stomach issues but it isn't bad now at all. The first 2 months were filled with stomach cramps and diarrhea. I'm past it now thankfully. Someone suggested low sugar yogurt so I'm wondering if the yogurt is taken with the Metformin dose or if it's just a once a day sort of thing. I'd like to try it to see if it helps with the stomach issues. I'm also Lactose intolerant but I've had Yogurt before and it never seemed to bother me.
