Guest guest
Hi , I was also born blind well, it happened at birth I guess, and just found out I am diabetic in June. I am on oral medication twice a day andI try to test when I get up after a long sleep and sometimes 2 hours after a meal. They only give me enough supplies to test once a day and sometimes I have to do it again because if I get too small of a sample it says I am low. I only believe that if I test twice in a row and get low. I have to get with my doctor and have him tell this company I need twice a day instead of once, someone goofed up the paperwork. Guest guest
I'm a type 1, but many type 2's who are overweight can have trouble getting good bg readings. Lose weight if you need to, and watch the carbohydrate intake, especially from products containing white flour and high fat. I'm not expert, but your age, your overall health, and amount of exercise (or lack thereof) can also contribute to some difficulty in managing your t2 diabetes. What was your last and most recent A1C? Dave " ...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Guest guest
Then you're good to go as far as weight and your A1C. It comes down to food and medication probably. Are you seeing a doctor or diabetes professional to offer you one on one personal assistance? As much as we would all like our diabetes to leave us so we could go about living our lives without all the toilsome drudgery it brings us, we're stuck with it. Now, some type 2's are able to come off their medications, but as far as I know, these have been diabetics who were overweight and lost the weight, and very unaware of how to take care of themselves. But most of us are just stuck with it! It could be you'll need to increase your medication, but this needs to be done with a doctor's oversight. Hopefully your doctor is knowledgeable about type 2 diabetes. Dave " ...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
